Pitbull: The rapper known as Pitbull is currently the biggest name in Latin hip-hop. Having been on the scene for over seven years, his career has been blowing up recently due to the success of his 2009 album, Rebelution, and his 2010 Spanish-language album, Armando. He's collaborated with some of the biggest names in hip-hop, including Lil Jon, Usher, and T-Pain. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of his latest album, Planet Pit, as well as any possible 2011 tour dates that could follow the album's release.

Armando Christian Pérez was born on January 15, 1981, in Miami, Florida. After graduating high school, he made some important connections after meeting Irv Gotti and Luther Campbell. It wasn't until Pitbull met Lil Jon that he made his first recorded appearance on the East Side Boyz' album, Kings of Crunk. Pitbull experienced huge mainstream success when his song "Oye" was featured in the film 2 Fast 2 Furious in 2003. By early 2004, the rapper had signed with TVT Records and was recording his debut album, M.I.A.M.I., which released later that year. The album received favorable reviews and peaked at #14 on the Billboard 200; not bad for the rapper's debut album. The record was full of club and party hits, in particular the lead single "Culo," which packed the dance floor on tour dates. Pitbull followed up his debut with El Mariel in 2006, which featured a mixture of club tracks and politically conscious songs. His 2007 album, The Boatlift, featured a harder crunk, gangsta feel to it and was well received by music critics.

Pitbull hit it big in 2009 when he released Rebelution on his own Mr. 305 Inc. record label. The single "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" became the rapper's most popular song, as it reached #2 on the Hot 100 earned the artist massive tour dates. In late 2010, Pitbull released a Spanish-language album, entitled Armando after his real first name and his father's name. The album shot to #2 on the US Billboard Latin Albums and the singles "Maldito Alcohol" and "Bon, Bon" have received considerable airplay on Latin radio stations, but less play on tour dates.

Pitbull's latest album, Planet Pit, will be released on June 21 and the singles "Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)" and "Give Me Everything" have already been praised by critics. The album will feature such artists as T-Pain, Chris Brown, Akon, Kelly Rowland, Enrique Iglesias, LMFAO, and many others. While Pitbull doesn't have any scheduled tour dates in 2011, fans can expect a busy concert schedule once the album has been released.
