The Old Globe San Diego is a Tony Award-winning, world-renowned professional theatre group located in the city's famous Balboa Park. Built in 1935, The Old Globe Theatre San Diego is a copy of The Globe Theatre London, where many of Shakespeare's plays had their first runs. As a tip of the cap to its namesake, The Old Globe Theatre San Diego holds a highly-acclaimed Shakespeare festival each year as well as its year round season of 15 plays and musicals, ensuring that The Old Globe theatre schedule always has something to offer.

The Old Globe Theatre San Diego is actually one of three stages within The Old Globe theatre complex, and seats a total of 580 people.
