Built in 1935, The Old Globe Theatre San Diego is a copy of The Globe Theatre London, where many of Shakespeare's plays had their first runs. As a tip of the cap to its namesake, The Old Globe Theatre San Diego holds a highly-acclaimed Shakespeare festival each year as well as its year round season of 15 plays and musicals, ensuring that The Old Globe theatre schedule always has something to offer.
