Venue Details

Located in the heart of downtown, the San Diego Civic Theatre has been the premiere location for theater in the city since 1965. The venue also schedules a slew of performances including opera, ballet, concerts, and stand-up comedy, making it one of the most versatile venues in the city. Many Broadway plays pass through the Civic Theatre on tour, and audiences from around San Diego County pay close attention to the events calendar to see what exciting performances will come next.

Located on the corner of 3rd Avenue and B Street, the San Diego Civic Theatre is the most popular performing arts center in town. Its proximity to the bars and restaurants downtown make it an ideal spot for a night out, and its spacious, lavish design make it all the more attractive. The Civic Theatre has become a frequent performance venue for the San Diego Opera, the La Jolla Music Society and the California Ballet, as well as becoming the number one stop in San Diego for Broadway theater.

While there are many theaters and performing arts centers in San Diego, the most popular performers and shows can be found at the San Diego Civic Theatre. Check the schedule of upcoming events above and buy your tickets right here at Eventful.
