Apparently Fluxx’s smoke and 'shrooms didn’t provide enough of a trance vibe for Thursday’s EDM Night, so the club (inspired by the popularity of Voyeur, perhaps?) added some trippy LED screens to up the ambiance. Fans who came out for British DJ Gareth Emery’s progressive dance set posted pictures online, writing, “Holy sh*t the led screens and lasers @FLUXXSD are #nextlevel.” Even VIP partier—and former Charger linebacker—Shawn Merriman was seen at the show, a coup for football fans since he hasn’t been spotted on the SD club circuit in awhile. Attendees were happily exhausted after all the heavy dance beats, tweeting things like, “@garethemery greatest performer I've seen so far.” Even Emery took to Twitter after his set: “Brilliant night at @fluxxsd, a seriously impressive club, rammed on a thursday! Great to have our VJ along too blowing up the LED screens.”
