theBREAX: theBREAX are breaking out the box of Hip-Hop music, religion, and political correctness, pushing the envelope of music, giving the masses what they want: enjoyable feel good music with an uplifting message that changes lives.

Formed in 2006, theBREAX exploded on the Southern California Hip-Hop and Spoken word scene and took it by storm with incredible performances, becoming crowd favorites at Elevated, Vibes and the Hot Monkey Love Cafe, three of San Diego’s largest open mic venues. The group continued to electrify audiences, sharing the stage with notables such as: Tonex, Fred Hammond, 4th Avenue Jones, Pigeon John, The Visionaries, LMNO, LA Symphony, Future Shock, and Guinness Book Record Holder, Supernatural.

The members are an eclectic cast from: Azerbaijan, Baku (Ruslan: Emcee/Producer), Baltimore, MD (Beleaf: DJ, Emcee) and Oceanside, CA (Mic B: Drummer/ Production) and Vista, Ca (Name Brand: Producer). Their signature “Breaking out of the box” sound is a flavor that defies conventional songwriting with a combination of energy and precision. With their globally appealing sound and amazing live show, theBREAX are creating a diverse and loyal following of supporters. Mixing musical genres, while maintaining their own style has given them the ability to reach a wide array of people.

After the success of previous works like Out of Order (2004), Thoughts Aloud: The Mixtape (2005), and the critically acclaimed self-titled album "theBREAX". The group has demonstrated that it definitely has a bright career ahead of them. There is no question after hearing and watching these four very different people come together with the same passion, that music history is being made. This group has re-written the rules in the hope to change the future of music as well as pop culture.

theBREAX sound can be described as an artistic concoction of Kanye West soulful swagger, Saul Williams Spoken Word Poetry, the live instrumentation of the Roots, and the spirit of U2.

The new album "theBREAX” will feature guest appearance from: Future Shock, NomiS, Ant Black, Judah-1, Rufat, Apollo, Tee-Jay, and Insufficient Funds. The crew has no intentions of letting up, and for any true fan of Hip-Hop, this is a good thing. Time after time theBREAX continue to show the world that these emcees can flip any style at any given moment; their music is as diverse as the cities they represent.

In 2007 Rawkus Records declared that theBREAX are one of the "50 Next important hip hop artists" and signed them to a digital distribution/marketing deal to help sphere head the Rawkus 50. Their critically acclaimed first album will be re-released with full digitial distribution and marketing in september of 2007 under Rawkus 50 umbrella.

NomiS: NomiS is a socially conscious eMCee from southern California. Born in San Bernardino County, he moved to Oceanside California (San Diego) at age 8. Coming from a musically inclined background, NomiS found himself interested in many different genres of music early on. He found a connection to Hip Hop culture and music during middle school where he began to dabble in verse writing. Midway through Highschool the alias "NomiS" became his musical identity. Simultaneously his first rap group arose with three other eMCee's in the same school. The fellowship was short lived, but NomiS continued rapping and writing. On October 22nd 2004, NomiS released the album "Destined Misconception". Around this time NomiS hooked up with a long time friend and local DJ named, "Topher 85". This is when things started coming together. The two continued to pay dues locally. Meanwhile, NomiS was studying music at a California State University, and the two of them started on the grind with shows and trying to perfect their crafts. Performing everywhere from School's, bar's, church's, coffee shops, and living rooms. Together they have opened up shows for the likes of Wanda Sykes, Abstract Rude, Juliette Lewis, freestyle legend SuperNATURAL, The Visionaries, LMNO, Qwel, 4th Avenue Jones, LA Symphony, Deux Process and many others. In Spring 2006 the two of them performed for a crowd of 14,000 people at SDSU's "Cox ARENA". In May of 2006 NomiS was still experimenting to find his distinct sound and released an EP entitled "Together Is Power" which included colabs with members of both the Deepspace 5 camp, and Future Shock. In December of 2007 NomiS released a full length side project with a fellow local eMCee named Jeremiah Bonds under the group name of, "Forgotten Heroes". In May of 2008, NomiS finally found his distinct sound and released his first true full length solo album entitled, "Mouthpiece of the Lion" which features collaborations with Vanderslice (Sean Price, Murdah Mook), theBREAX, the Listener (Deepspace 5), Scribbling Idiots and more. NomiS continues to attempt to bring truth to everyone. Understanding the responsibility of an eMCee, NomiS seeks to provoke thought in the minds of any and all who will listen.
