Juanes: Juanes combines the edginess of American hard-rock with smooth Spanish guitar riffs and carefully crafted lyrics. Over the past decade, the Columbian singer-songwriter has become the most decorated Latin Grammy winner ever and an international touring sensation. Juanes tour dates have been scheduled this 2011. Juanes grew up in Medellín, Columbia during the height of Pablo Escobar's drug kingdom. The war-torn country deeply affected Juanes' upbringing as his own cousin was executed during the country's civil war. He found solace in the guitar and the heavy metal music of Metallica which inspired him to form his own heavy metal band, Ekhymosis, in 1988. Over the next decade the band released five albums to local fanfare. Juanes had bigger international ambitions, however, and Ekhymosis disbanded in 1998.

Juanes released his debut album Fíjate Bien in 2000 and became a Latin Rock superstar. The album garnered him six nominations at the 2001 ceremonies where he won for Best Rock Solo Vocal Album and Best New Artist. The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA and featured the hit single "Nada". Juanes tour dates were scheduled internationally to support the album before he went to record his sophomore follow-up.

Un Día Normal was released in 2002 and spent 92 weeks on the Billboard Latin Albums charts. The album won five awards at the 2003 Latin Grammy's including Album of the Year and featured a duet with Nelly Furtado. Juanes followed up with Mi Sangre in 2004 which featured three consecutive #1 singles including the international smash "La Camisa Negra". Juanes tour dates were scheduled along the international Mi Sangre Tour. A special Juanes concert was performed at the 2006 World Cup, which is annually the most watched event in the world.

Juanes released La Vida..…Es Un Ratico in 2007 and it became his highest charting album to-date on the Billboard 200 and signaled Juanes' crossover appeal. Juanes tour dates were scheduled internationally including a performance at the Nobel Peace Price Concert in 2007. The Juanes concert schedule included a US outing La Vida Tour which captured live material for his La Vida…Es Un Ratico (En Vivo) live album released in 2008. More recently, Juanes released his latest album, P.A.R.C.E., in 2010. Juanes tour dates were scheduled at the 2010 World Cup Kickoff Concert and at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Juanes emerged in the '90s with his metal band Ekhymosis and their edgy metal anthems. However, it was as a solo artist that he arrived as a rock god in Columbia and around the world. In all, he has sold 13 million albums and has become the most awarded Latin Grammy winner with 17 statues. Juanes is also a prolific performer and has embarked on several international tours. Juanes tour dates are currently scheduled to promote his latest album. Don't miss a date on the Juanes concert schedule!
