START FALLING FOR THE ARTS THIS OCTOBER
Hundreds of Free and Discounted Arts & Culture Events!

Every day in San Diego, there are many ways to celebrate the arts, but October is when the arts take center stage. FALL FOR THE ARTS (http://www.sandiego.org/fall-for-the-arts.aspx) is a month-long spotlight on the many vibrant arts and cultural activities throughout the region in conjunction with National Arts and Humanities Month.

Special programs, discounts, incentives and activities will be offered throughout the region during the entire month of October providing countless opportunities to experience the arts in San Diego. Local arts and culture organizations will present hundreds of free (and almost free!) events to ensure you can get more bang for your buck!

This is a chance to get out and do more, see more and play more during the month of October. A diverse and exciting list of over 50 arts and culture organizations are participating this year including the San Diego Symphony, The Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, Mingei International Museum and many, more. A complete list is available at FALL FOR THE ARTS (http://www.sandiego.org/fall-for-the-arts.aspx).

Fall for the Arts 2012 is presented in collaboration with KIDS FREE IN SAN DIEGO (http://www.sandiego.org/promotions/kids-free.aspx), a ConVis sponsored promotion supported by the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park, SeaWorld San Diego, LEGOLAND California, AMTRAK, Croce's Restaurant & Jazz Bar and more than 50 local hotels, attractions and restaurants.

To make October even more arts and culture friendly, the San Diego Museum Council will repeat their successful KIDS FREE IN OCTOBER (http://www.sandiegomuseumcouncil.org/blog/kids-free-in-october/) program featuring 36 museums offering free admission with an adult ticket purchase.

Fall for the Arts will kick off with a high profile community open house at an enhanced NTC Friday Night Liberty on October 5. http://www.ntclibertystation.com/what.php

Fall for the Arts 2012 is presented by the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture (http://www.sandiego.gov/arts-culture/), San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau, San Diego Museum Council, National Endowment for the Arts, California Arts Council and The San Diego Foundation.
