San Diego Opera presents "Nabucco"

Nation after nation has fallen to the Babylonian ruler Nabucco. Now he has destroyed the Temple of Jerusalem, enslaved the Hebrews, taken their revered High-Priest hostage and declared himself a god. In doing so, the full wrath of Yahweh descends on Nabucco driving him mad while his treacherous daughter usurps his crown forcing Nabucco to pray to the very god he offended. Nabucco is the opera that solidified Verdi’s reputation as a composer.
